AARRRRR Matey!

We had our local Pirate fest in my area the other day. There was a parade, beads, pirate costumes, drinking and everything else associated with Pirates. So of course my nails had to represent the occasion! and this is what I did.

I've been loving this ombre look lately and I really wanted to do red and black for my pirate look so I decided why not? :)

I used three differnt reds and a black for this look first (the brightest red) I use Sally Hanson's Diamonds and Rubies, then Nina Ultra Pro's love struck, then China Glaze's Heart of Africa, and last but not least my Sinful Colors' Black on black. Also for the skull and cross bones design I used Revlon top speed's metallic.
The design was actually pretty easy to do. I just used a tooth pick and free handed it all. I thought It came out pretty cool. I did it on both of my thumbs.

I hope you liked my little treasure of a nail design as much as I did. lol :p Thanks for reading!

NOTD Pink Konad Stamping

So I got some new stamping plates the other day so I decided to try them out. And this is what I came up with :)

I loved this pattern and I thought the two different colors looked cool!

For this look I used two sinful colors colors :) The darked pink is Folly and the Lighter pink is 24/7 My fave is deffinatly the darker pink for some reason even though they're the same brand it just went on so much nicer.

The stamping plate I use was a Konad plate M64. Konad is the only stamping plates I've used so far but I'm looking into other brands to see how they work I just have to find the right one!

Nail stamping is fun and easy to do. Paint it on scrape it off stamp and you're done! I hope you liked what you saw :) and thanks for reading!

Sally Hanson Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

So I went on vacation for New Years and I needed a manicure that that was going to last me the whole trip with out chipping. So I decided on the Sally Hanson Salon Effects polish strips. I had tried these before and they last for ever with out chipping.

I chose the color Rock Star which was just right for the occasion. (New Years in Times Square!)

So this is what you get in the pack, you get two packs of nail strips, a little buffing file a mini orange stick, and the instructions.

You get two packs of 8 nail polish strips. You match the size strip to your nail peal off the backing and stick it to your nail, using the orange stick to make sure its fully attached.

The strip is way longer then your nail (unless you have REALLY long nails) but this is what it looks like when you first put the strip on your nail.

On the box it say no dry nail polish, but if you try to file the excess polish strip off right away it will chip a little and wont look perfect. So let it set up for a little and then you use the file to take off the excess polish. It says you don't have to put on a top coat but its really up to you. I did just to prevent chipping.

This is the finished look! It was perfect for what I needed them for but let me warn you! These take FOREVER to take off! I ended up having to file them off. The non glitter kinda doesn't take as long but these where just a pain in the butt. But they come in tons of colors and designs and are really cool if you ask me! :)

First Tutorial Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

My Rudolph nails where some of my favorite holiday nails this season and this is how I did it :)

First always start out with clean and filed nails and then start with your favorite base coat. At the moment I'm using Nail Life Nail Revitalizer. I gone through a few different kinds of base coats and haven't found one that i really loved yet but this one is pretty good :)

After Applying your base coat I went in with a brown color( A Perfect 10 - Talk Dirty) on both my ring fingers and painted about half way up leaving room for the antlers.
After painting the brown face I used my Miginailart pens in black and white to add eyes and the nose. I painted the nose white first so that the red would show up better.
After painting the nose white I painted it red(Nina Ultra Pro - Love Struck) just like Rudolph, along with the rest of my nails.
After painting the nose red its time for the antlers! I did this using a black striper(Sinful Colors Nail Art - Black) and just added a few lines to look like antlers on Rudolph's head.
Almost done! Now time to add some Red sparkle glitter(China Gaze - Love Marilyn, and Milani - Ruby Jewels) and a top coat(Seche Vite) and you're all finished!
These are the polishes I used from left to right; Seche Vite (My absolute FAVORITE top coat), Nina Ultra Pro - Love Struck, Sinful Colors Nail Art - Black, China Glaze - Love Marilyn, Milani - Ruby Jewels, A Perfect 10 - Talk Dirty, and Nail Life Nail Revitalizer. Up front are my Migi nail pens in black and white.
Thank you so much for reading there are hopefully lots more nails to come!

Kristy

Number One :)

Hi my name is Kristy and I have been doing my nails for as long as I can remember. When I was in Elementary school I remember bringing my shoe box full of nail polish out for recess and doing every ones nails instead of playing on the jungle gym. For about the past year I have become even more "addicted" to doing my nails. I'm following different blogs about them I can watch YouTube for hours watching people do their nails. I'm always learning new tips and techniques and I love trying them out. So after thinking it over a bit I've decided to start my own Nail Blog and I guess we'll see how this goes. Here are a few pictures of what I've done in the past year.
My favs are my blue polka dot nails and my Breaking Dawn nails I did for the midnight premiere. (yes I'm a twilight fan)
Thank you for who ever reads this :)
